Chhattisgarh Paves the Way for Progress: A Milestone in Rural Development

In a significant boost to rural development, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai laid the foundation for 774 new roads on Friday. These roads, part of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, stretch over 2,426.875 kilometers and cost an estimated Rs. 2,225.44 crore.

The initiative is set to benefit nearly 781 habitations, providing permanent, all-weather road access that will enhance travel, education, healthcare services and stimulate economic activities in rural areas. Chief Minister Sai highlighted the critical role the program plays in India's rural transformation across decades, reinforcing development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Alongside road development, Chhattisgarh is also advancing agricultural credit systems and paddy procurement, while implementing the Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana to alleviate electricity dues. With progress on multiple road projects and government support, the region anticipates improved connectivity and vibrant economic prospects.
