Tigress Terrorizes Panna: Buffer Zone on High Alert
A tigress in the buffer zone of Panna Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh, killed cattle, causing high alert in the area. The tigress, offspring of tigress 213, is now adult and moving in Tara beat region. Villagers have been cautioned, and compensation will be provided to affected cattle owners.

A high alert has been issued after a tigress killed cattle in the buffer zone of the Panna Tiger Reserve, an official from the forest department confirmed Thursday. The incident happened in Tara beat, close to Vikrampur village, as stated by the reserve's deputy director Virendra Kumar Patel.
The two-year-old tigress, the fourth offspring of tigress 213, has reached adulthood. Despite efforts to guide it back into the jungle using elephants, it remains in the area. Authorities have warned villagers to avoid traveling alone and to exercise caution.
The tigress previously killed a buffalo in the Kudan area of Jaswantpura. Compensation for affected cattle owners will be provided according to regulations. The event has instilled fear among the 2,000 residents of Vikrampur village.
