Councillor's Son Accused of Rape Under Promise of Marriage in Madhya Pradesh
A BJP councillor's son from Satna, Madhya Pradesh, is accused of raping a woman under the pretension of marrying her. The police have traced him to Jabalpur after he fled following the FIR. The woman alleges he's set to wed someone else, and deceit was involved in their relations.

A 30-year-old man, the son of a BJP councillor in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, has been accused of raping a 27-year-old woman, promising marriage. The Civil Lines police have been unable to locate him as he fled. However, his location has been traced to Jabalpur.
The woman, employed at a private bank in Jabalpur, stated that she had been involved with the accused for several years. She alleged their relationship was based on promises of marriage, which he's now reneging on, as he reportedly plans to marry another woman shortly.
In response to the allegations, an FIR was filed, and police attempted to arrest the accused at his mother's home. The mother, initially elected as an independent councillor, later joined the BJP. The accused faces charges under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita section 69 for deceitful sexual intercourse.
