The cyclone Montha, which had intensified over Andhra Pradesh, has decreased in strength, yet its aftermath persists, disrupting power and transport across various districts. Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister K Atchannaidu on Wednesday confirmed ongoing recovery efforts.

In Konaseema district alone, over 300 electric poles were uprooted, though repairs are nearing completion. The NDRF and SDRF teams are actively working to restore normalcy, clearing roads and facilitating traffic movement, with APSRTC buses back in operation.

The state is focused on aiding affected populations, with over 10,000 people housed in relief camps and financial assistance provided. The damage spans 20,000 acres of crops, prompting Governor N Chandrababu Naidu to expedite rehabilitation efforts, ensuring power restoration and essential supplies reach every affected household.
