Rampaging Elephants Cause Havoc in Village, Spur Forest Department Action
Two wild elephants from Nepal wreaked havoc, destroying crops in Bilaspur tehsil. Efforts led by the Forest Department, including teams from Bareilly and Wildlife SOS, are underway to safely guide the elephants back, as villagers deploy makeshift methods to protect their fields.

In a distressing turn of events, two wild elephants from Nepal have laid waste to hundreds of acres of crops in a village in Bilaspur tehsil, prompting an emergency response from local authorities.
Bharat Kumar DK, the Divisional Forest Officer of Social Forestry, confirmed that the elephants' movements had been tracked to Bisalpur. In response, a coordinated effort involving teams from Bareilly and the renowned Wildlife SOS has been initiated.
Local villagers, armed with sticks and barrels, attempted to drive the elephants away while forest officials monitored the unfolding situation. This is the latest in a series of incidents involving these elephants, who have also caused damage in other nearby regions including Gajraula and Ujhaniya village.
