Mumbai witnessed its fourth consecutive day of unseasonal rainfall caused by a depression over the Arabian Sea. While the showers were less intense than previous days, the city's skies remained overcast, with breaks of sunshine amidst the clouds.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) noted that the rainfall resulted from moisture pushed towards the west coast by the east-central Arabian Sea depression. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation reported varying rainfall levels across the city and its suburbs.
Despite the showers, the daytime temperatures dipped slightly below normal, while nighttime temperatures rose. The IMD predicts intermittent rainfall over the next 48 hours, maintaining similar weather patterns in Mumbai.
