Ukraine's Drones Challenge Moscow's Air Space

For three consecutive nights, Ukraine has launched drones toward Moscow, causing disruptions to the air traffic around Russia's capital, according to statements from Russian authorities on Tuesday.

The Russian defense ministry reported that within a three-hour window starting Monday at 1700 GMT, its air defense units managed to destroy 57 Ukrainian drones, with several targeting the Moscow region and adjacent areas.

Russia's aviation authority briefly closed two of Moscow's airports citing safety concerns. Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that emergency services responded to a downed drone site in the vicinity. No damage from these missions has been reported, maintaining this trend of limited disclosure regarding the impacts of Ukrainian strikes unless civilian infrastructure is affected.
