Giant Python Rescued from Thane Drain

A nearly 8-foot-long python sparked panic in Thane city when it was discovered in a roadside drain on Tuesday. The reptile was located near a college in Savarkar Nagar, Maharashtra, alarming local residents.

Upon receiving a call at 11:32 am, the Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell swiftly mobilized their team. A firefighter, accompanied by staff members and a Wildlife Welfare Association team, promptly reached the location.

The python was successfully rescued from the drain by the coordinated efforts of the emergency services. It was then handed over to the Wildlife Welfare Association for further care, ensuring the safety of both the animal and the public.
