Heavy rain and strong winds ravaged Kerala on Monday, resulting in fatalities and widespread alerts across several districts.
In Alappuzha, Paul Devasia, a local fisherman, died after his boat capsized. Meanwhile, in Angamaly, Kokhan Misthri from West Bengal was fatally struck by lightning.
The India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert, forecasting intense rains and advising caution as weather conditions remain severe.
