Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended central support to Andhra Pradesh as it faces the impending cyclone 'Montha', set to intensify into a severe storm. In a conversation with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Modi inquired about the cyclone's intensity and the state's preparedness measures.
CM Naidu held a meeting and outlined the state's strategy, including advancing action in flood-prone areas, strengthening canal banks, and deploying NDRF teams for disaster management. Engineers and emergency teams have been alerted, along with coordination efforts led by state IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
Residents are advised to remain indoors during the storm's peak, while relief camps have been arranged for those displaced. The government has issued provisions, including cash allowances, food, and medical services, prioritizing aid in severely hit regions. Modi assures continued central support to help manage the crisis.
