Kishtwar's Aviation Leap: Airport Proposal Set for Evaluation

A high-level team from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Airports Authority of India is set to assess the proposal for an airport in Kishtwar district. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh announced that the five-member delegation will undertake a two-day review starting Tuesday.
This initiative aims to construct a comprehensive airstrip near the Chaugan ground in Kishtwar, enhancing the town's year-round aircraft landing and departure capabilities. Minister Singh emphasized the government's focus on developing remote areas, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's priorities.
After their assessment, the team will return to Delhi to compile a detailed report for senior officials to outline the next steps. Minister Singh's update on social media highlighted the consistent support for infrastructure development in distant regions.
