A destructive fire broke out at a scrap warehouse near the Manji Sahib Gurudwara in Haryana's Ambala City late Monday night, officials reported. The fire quickly intensified, spreading panic in the nearby vicinity.
According to Fire and Emergency Services Department officials, the warehouse, filled with old tyres and plastic products, experienced a rapid spread of flames. All materials inside were destroyed in the devastating blaze.
Fire Officer Tarsem Rana stated on Tuesday that three fire tenders were initially dispatched upon notification. As the fire's intensity increased, two additional units were brought in, eventually bringing the fire under control after over two hours of firefighting efforts. The police confirmed the warehouse was closed at the time as employees celebrated Diwali. Investigations are underway to determine if the fire resulted from an electrical short circuit, a stray firecracker spark, or another cause.
