Iraq's Steady Oil Exports: Zubair Fire No Impact
Iraq's oil exports remain stable at 3.6 million bpd despite a fire at Zubair oilfield. Exports from Kurdistan have resumed, reaching up to 200,000 bpd. A deal in September restored northern shipments halted for over two years. Iraq is negotiating its OPEC quota amid output commitments.
Iraq's oil exports are holding steady at 3.6 million barrels per day, according to Oil Minister Hayan Abdel-Ghani, despite a recent fire at the Zubair oilfield.
The fire did not affect exports, with shipments from Iraq's Kurdistan region reaching up to 200,000 bpd after resuming in late September. Previously halted for over two years, these shipments have helped maintain a stable export flow.
Negotiations over Iraq's OPEC quota continue as the country stays committed to its 4.4 million bpd limit. Meanwhile, a prior overproduction issue is being addressed with plans to cut back output.
