The women's wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam organized a rally to protest the Congress and the INDIA bloc's obstruction of the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, aiming for 33% women's reservation in legislatures by 2029.
BJP state president Dilip Saikia criticized Congress for its lack of action toward women's political empowerment, emphasizing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to achieving this milestone.
Accusations of promoting dynastic politics were also directed at opposition parties, with BJP leaders asserting that women deserve their rightful place in governance, which the Congress has historically undermined.
