The US military is gearing up for a significant defense spending boost, with a focus on critical technologies such as drones, air defense systems, and fighter jets. These components have played a pivotal role in the ongoing conflict with Iran.

In alignment with President Donald Trump’s initiative to elevate defense spending to USD 1.5 trillion by 2027, the Pentagon aims to triple its investment in drones and related technologies, totaling over USD 74 billion. Additionally, more than USD 30 billion is earmarked for critical munitions including missile interceptors.

This budget proposal arrives in the wake of conflicts in the Middle East, where US military capabilities have been heavily tested. Although officials did not disclose requested additional funds for the war, they emphasized the critical need for munitions such as the Patriot and THAAD air defense systems. This strategic allocation also plans a significant expansion of the US military force and addresses security operations at the US-Mexico border.
