On Tuesday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge intensified his critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that the PM is 'terrorizing' political parties and the public by misusing government machinery and central agencies. The accusation was made during a press conference in Chennai alongside AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal.

Kharge initially referred to Prime Minister Modi as a 'terrorist' in criticizing AIADMK's alliance with the BJP, questioning how AIADMK, a party rooted in Dravidian ideology, could justify partnering with Modi. Although Kharge later clarified he was referring to Modi 'terrorizing' the democratic fabric, he accused the Prime Minister of misusing power to undermine opposition forces.

Kharge criticized the Election Commission as an 'extension of the BJP office' and voiced concerns over the delayed implementation of the Women's Reservation Act. Highlighting the contentious issues of election code violations and women's reservation, Kharge reaffirmed the DMK-Congress alliance's strength and rejected rumors of a rift between key party figures.
