The bill, designed to increase Lok Sabha seats by implementing a women's quota, was defeated last week in the Lower House, eliciting public outrage. Thousands of women marched from Adityanath's residence to Vidhan Bhavan, showcasing a strong display of public support under intense Lucknow heat.
Adityanath accused opposition parties of maintaining an anti-women stance and highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies that center around women, among others, as catalysts for India's economic growth.
