Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has declared that the poll panel will leave no stone unturned to ensure a fair and impartial election in West Bengal. He detailed an approach to curtail malpractices and foster voter confidence.
Kumar asserted that the Election Commission is dedicated to conducting fear-free elections while maintaining zero tolerance towards any electoral misconduct, stressing that government officials must not meddle in the electoral process.
Addressing voters, he encouraged active participation without fear, describing the elections as a celebration of democracy. The West Bengal assembly elections will take place in two phases, on April 23 and 29, with results announced on May 4.
