British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was cleared of accusations that he misled parliament in the case of appointing Peter Mandelson as U.S. ambassador, senior minister Darren Jones stated on a broadcast with Sky News.
Despite Mandelson's failure in security vetting, the government maintained that Starmer was uninformed about the officials' decision to overrule the vetting outcome.
