In a bold political move, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief and renowned actor Vijay announced his party's comprehensive election manifesto. The document emphasizes a commitment to honest governance, promising measures such as a Rs 2,500 monthly stipend for women and gold for brides from low-income families, if elected in the Tamil Nadu elections on April 23.
Criticizing the election promises of rival parties, Vijay accused them of recycling similar ideas. He underscored TVK's distinct stance, emphasizing genuine proposals for development, including educational loans up to Rs 20 lakh, free AI-driven exam coaching, and monthly assistance for unemployed graduates.
The manifesto also outlines support for senior citizens, farmers, and fishermen, alongside ambitious plans for an AI-powered economy. By pledging healthcare initiatives and employment guarantees, TVK aims to transform Tamil Nadu, generating a Rs 1.5 trillion economy by 2036 and establishing the state as India's AI hub.
