TVK Chief Vijay Unveils Transformative Manifesto for Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections

TVK chief Vijay on Thursday announced a groundbreaking manifesto for the upcoming April 23 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. This manifesto places a significant emphasis on women's welfare, allocating Rs 2,500 monthly for those under 60 and providing 8 grams of gold for marriage. Additionally, it promises a quality silk saree and interest-free loans amounting to Rs 5 lakh for women-run self-help groups.
The manifesto outlines key educational reforms to curb school dropouts by offering Rs 15,000 annually to mothers or guardians of school-going children. It proposes 100 special residential schools named after renowned leader Kamarajar and higher education loans up to Rs 20 lakh. Furthermore, Vijay introduced ambitious proposals like establishing an AI Ministry, an AI University, and an AI City.
Addressing agrarian welfare, Vijay pledged a complete waiver of agricultural cooperative loans for farmers with less than five acres and a 50% waiver for those with more. The manifesto also ensures a Minimum Support Price for crops, while tackling youth unemployment by creating five lakh government jobs and offering stipendiary internships. Healthcare promises include the modernization of hospitals and a Rs 25 lakh family insurance scheme.
