The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday took aim at the Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing them of using misinformation to criticize India's foreign policy stance regarding the ongoing West Asia conflict. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla alleged that the Congress's claims about India's diplomatic failures were not only false but also damaging to the nation's interests.

In a series of posts on X, Poonawalla countered the Congress's accusations by stating that Indian vessels, including the LPG tanker Green Sanvi, successfully navigated the critical Strait of Hormuz, safeguarding energy supplies amidst regional tensions. He accused Gandhi of politicizing foreign policy and acting contrary to the nation's interests.

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari underscored India's diplomatic resilience. Despite disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, he credited the nation's uninterrupted energy supplies to sound planning and strategic partnerships under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. The government also confirmed the safe transit of the Green Sanvi, reinforcing its narrative of diplomatic success.
