The Election Commission has taken administrative action in Perambra, issuing a notice to LDF convenor T P Ramakrishnan to elaborate on a contentious campaign announcement aired via a campaign vehicle.
The notice, verified by a District Collectorate official, concerns a complaint made by UDF regarding the LDF's supposed broadcasting of unauthorized messages.
UDF candidate Fathima Thahiliya contends the announcement reflects a premeditated campaign violation and seeks an FIR registration, while the LDF refutes any approval of the message.
