V Senthil Balaji, a prominent DMK leader and former minister of Tamil Nadu, has assured that he responded comprehensively to all questions posed by the CBI regarding the tragic stampede at Karur during the TVK rally in September 2025. The incident resulted in 41 deaths and numerous injuries.
Balaji, speaking at Chennai airport after returning from his CBI interrogation in Delhi, emphasized his role as a witness. He refrained from disclosing specific questions or answers, maintaining that such details remain under investigation.
The leader dismissed notions of political pressure behind the Delhi summons. On the political front, he expressed strong confidence in DMK's readiness for the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections, led by Chief Minister M K Stalin, bolstered by vigorous groundwork and recent large-scale conferences.
