The Jharkhand Assembly is gearing up for its pivotal Budget session with Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato emphasizing the importance of smooth proceedings. The session, scheduled from February 18 to March 19, will see the presentation of the state budget for the financial year 2026–27 on February 24.
To ensure efficient operations, Mahato chaired a meeting with senior officials, including Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar and Home Department's Principal Secretary Vandana Dadel. Their goal was to review preparations and address any concerns that might hinder the session's success.
Officials have been directed to provide timely and accurate responses to the questions raised by the MLAs, asserting their right to seek clarification. These efforts are aimed at fostering transparency and effectiveness during the legislative process.
