Political Storm in Bihar: Apology Demanded for Insult to Dalit Icon
LJP(RV) demands a public apology from Tejashwi Yadav for RJD MLA Kumar Sarvjeet's remarks on Ram Vilas Paswan. Sarvjeet called Paswan a ''bechara'' but also sought a statue honoring him. LJP(RV) sees this as disrespecting Paswan's legacy, urging Yadav to apologize in the Bihar Assembly.

The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has called for a public apology from Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the RJD in the Bihar Assembly, due to remarks made by RJD MLA Kumar Sarvjeet. Sarvjeet described the late Ram Vilas Paswan, a significant political figure, as a 'bechara' or pitiable in the Assembly.
Despite Sarvjeet’s call for a statue of Paswan to be erected in Patna to honor his contributions, LJP(RV) leaders, including state president Raju Tiwari, argue that the comments were insulting and a public apology is necessary. The party views Sarvjeet's demand for the statue as changing stance without first addressing the alleged insult.
Sarvjeet countered by suggesting that Tiwari's resistance is due to an inability to accept a statue for a leader who was a champion for Dalits and the underprivileged in Bihar. The controversy highlights ongoing political tensions in the state surrounding Paswan's enduring legacy.
