Telangana's Bold Vision: From Vaccine Hub to Global Life Sciences Leader

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has issued a global appeal for investment, emphasizing the state's evolution into a prime location for global capability centers. At the inauguration of BioAsia 2026, Reddy described Telangana as competing with top global entities, inviting investors to establish GCCs, innovate, and drive digital manufacturing.

Reddy highlighted Telangana's ambitious "Rising 2047" vision, targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047. He stressed the necessity for collaboration between research institutions, startups, and government, viewing Telangana as a future-ready ecosystem conducive to such partnerships.

The government aims to position Telangana among the top three global life sciences clusters by the end of the decade, attracting $25 billion in investment. The state's focus on developing new talent through initiatives like the Young India Skills University underscores its commitment to leading advances in life sciences.
