The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) launched a fierce protest on Sunday against a controversial remark made by an RJD MLA regarding the late Ram Vilas Paswan during the Bihar legislative assembly's budget session.
Members of LJP(RV) branded the RJD as anti-Dalit and publicly burned an effigy of Tejashwi Yadav, RJD's national working president. The uproar stemmed from RJD MLA Kumar Sarvjeet's description of the Lok Janshakti Party founder as 'Bechara' or pitiable, sparking demands from LJP(RV) for a rectification in the assembly.
Amidst calls for a public apology and further protests planned for Monday, the clash underscores the lingering political tension in Bihar. Chirag Paswan's leadership faces challenges in upholding his father's legacy amid ongoing criticisms from rival parties.
