Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing critique of India's first premier, Jawaharlal Nehru, accusing him of preventing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel from integrating Kashmir into the Indian Union. Modi made these remarks at the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Patel in Ekta Nagar's Statue of Unity.

Modi indicated that Nehru's unfulfilled policy led to decades of conflict and insecurity in Kashmir. Touching on national security, he mentioned 'Operation Sindoor' to highlight India's readiness to safeguard its interests against external threats, ensuring the world knows that the current India of Sardar Patel will not compromise its security.

Focusing on national unity, Modi discussed the threat posed by illegal infiltrators and criticised previous governments for their 'vote-bank politics' which allegedly undermined national integrity. He announced plans for a decisive fight against infiltration and emphasized the importance of promoting every Indian language as a symbol of unity.
