Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraaj Party, has been served a notice due to discrepancies in his voter registration, with his name allegedly appearing on electoral rolls in both Bihar and West Bengal. The district election office in Bihar's Rohtas district has demanded a response from Kishor within three days.

According to West Bengal election officials, Kishor is enrolled at the Trinamool Congress headquarters address, despite his earlier claims of residing in Bihar. The Rohtas district election office cited a report highlighting these anomalies. Violations could result in imprisonment or fines under the Representation of People Act.

Kishor remains defiant, criticizing the Election Commission for not rectifying the issue earlier. Accusations have emerged that Kishor sought political leverage in West Bengal for a potential Rajya Sabha seat after assisting TMC in elections. Political adversaries, including BJP and JD(U), allege Kishor's involvement in undermining Bihar elections.
