As the countdown to the Bihar Assembly elections nears its final stretch, the Mahagathbandhan alliance, spearheaded by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, unveiled its manifesto titled 'Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran' on Tuesday, sparking immediate political backlash.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a scathing critique, branding the manifesto a 'bunch of lies'. BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad accused the RJD of fostering corruption, citing pending charges against its leaders. Union Minister Chirag Paswan deemed the job promises unrealistic, claiming the alliance lacks genuine ambition for power.
Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan hailed its manifesto as 'historic' and focused on accountability, inclusivity, and development. Voters will decide on these competing visions in elections held on November 6 and 11, with results anticipated on November 14. Amid the fierce rhetoric, Bihar's electoral landscape remains charged with anticipation.
