In a sharp critique of Bihar's current administration, Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh lambasted the NDA government on Tuesday for its failure to generate jobs and maintain law and order. He noted the NDA's lack of leadership clarity and contrasted it with the INDIA alliance's clear endorsement of Tejashwi Yadav as the state's prospective Chief Minister.
The Mahagathbandhan, predominantly led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, launched their manifesto titled 'Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran' earlier in the day. The document promises bold initiatives, including the assurance that a government job will be provided to one member of every family within 20 days of assuming power. Additionally, financial aid under the 'Mai-Behin Maan Yojana' is promised for women.
Furthermore, the alliance has pledged to reintroduce the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), continuing from where Congress-supported implementations in other states left off. With Bihar's election showdown between the NDA and Mahagathbandhan looming, significant polarization marks the state's political landscape.
