Tejashwi Yadav, the Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial contender and RJD leader, claimed the BJP will not appoint Nitish Kumar as Bihar's Chief Minister post-elections. Criticizing the NDA for not announcing its CM candidate, he labeled Kumar a 'puppet' and expressed doubts about the NDA's intentions.
During a press conference in Patna, Yadav highlighted Nitish Kumar's diminishing influence within the NDA. He cited Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement indicating Kumar wouldn't retain his position as CM. 'The INDIA alliance has chosen me, yet the NDA hasn't disclosed their CM candidate,' Yadav pointed out.
Yadav accused central forces of attempting to manipulate election results by deploying 1,500 companies to impede Mahagathbandhan-favorable polling. He urged officers to abide by constitutional duties and resist unethical orders. Anticipating a power shift, he emphasized Bihar's residents' desire for change and determination to guard their votes.
Expressing Mahagathbandhan's commitment to Bihar's future, the alliance released a manifesto, promising rapid job provision and women’s financial aid. Mukesh Sahani, Vikassheel Insaan Party chief, declared support for public aspirations and transparency in governance. Mahagathbandhan also assured revisiting the Waqf (Amendment) Bill.
The political landscape in Bihar is charged with the rivalry between Mahagathbandhan and the NDA, with assembly elections scheduled for November 6 and 11. The results are anticipated on November 14.
