Faith and Celebration: Chhath Puja Unites Political Figures in Patna

On the concluding day of Chhath Mahaparv, Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan was seen participating in a spiritual gathering, offering prayers to Goddess Chhathi. The minister conducted the traditional Chhath Puja rites at his Patna residence, along with family, observing the customary acts of devotion to the Sun God.
Simultaneously, in another part of Patna, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya was also immersed in the Chhath Puja celebrations. Alongside BJP leader Sanjay Mayukh, Maurya participated in the ritualistic homage. Speaking to ANI, the Deputy CM highlighted the festival's robust traditions and their impact, stating their prayers to Chhath Maa are bound to bring results.
This festival, which commenced on October 25 and concluded on October 28, saw thousands of devotees assembling at riverbanks and ghats across India for 'Usha Arghya'. The Bihar Chief Minister had previously attended Paswan's residence for festive greetings. As security ensured smooth proceedings, the faithful performed synchronized prayers and offerings, uniting under shared cultural heritage.
