Chhath Puja, a festival rich in tradition and devotion, was celebrated across India with immense enthusiasm. In Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, alongside his family, performed the 'Arghya' rituals at the Tons River ghat in Premnagar, offering prayers to the setting and rising sun, hoping for the state's prosperity.

Throughout the country, devotees observed the festival's culmination by offering 'Usha Arghya' to the morning sun. Thousands convened at riverbanks, ghats, and ponds, engaging in the ritualistic offerings that define Chhath. In Bihar, the ghats were thronged with people placing offerings, while security personnel ensured the event's smooth execution.

In Delhi, Yamuna Ghat was a focal point as devotees gathered for concluding rituals amid chants and hymns. Key political figures, including Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, participated in the prayers. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta expressed joy over her participation in this revered festival.
