Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta revealed plans for a new museum within the Assembly premises to document its rich history through a light and sound programme. This initiative aims to highlight the institutional journey and historical evolution of the Assembly, enhancing public understanding.
Gupta's announcement occurred during a welcoming address to 43 delegates from 18 countries participating in the 37th International Training Programme in Legislative Drafting. Organized by PRIDE, this event underscores the fundamental role of legislative precision in democratic governance.
The Assembly's historic significance was also highlighted, tracing back to its establishment in 1912 and its role in India's legislative evolution. The visit included a tour, a documentary screening on Vitthalbhai Patel, and the presentation of a coffee table book, marking these efforts to bridge institutional memory with modern practices.
