In a recent move, former Union Minister and BJP leader Vijay Goel voiced concerns over a rise in stray dog bite incidents across Delhi. He accused authorities of disregarding Supreme Court guidelines on the matter.
Goel has called for the prohibition of dog feeding in residential areas, urging that such activities be restricted to designated spots by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Emphasizing resident safety, he suggested removing aggressive dogs from public areas.
The BJP leader criticized the lack of sufficient shelter facilities and inadequate promotion of the MCD's mobile app. He stressed the importance of immediate government intervention to safeguard citizens.
