Scandal Rocks Thane Corporation: Former Official Accused of Heinous Crimes

A retired assistant commissioner of the Thane Municipal Corporation faces severe accusations involving the alleged rape of a female employee over a span of three years. This disclosure followed a complaint filed by the victim, who served as a data entry operator within the organization.

According to police reports, the accused exploited his position by luring the victim to his rented apartment, where he spiked her drink and reportedly assaulted her, filming the incident to subsequently coerce her for further sexual favors. The reported offenses occurred between 2020 and 2023.

The situation escalates as it involves a fake godman from Nashik, who, besides being linked to this case, faces multiple allegations of sexual exploitation and is under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate. Charges against the former civic official have been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, aiming to uncover further collaborators in this distressing case.
