In a bid to tackle the looming urban water scarcity, Thane city has unveiled two revamped wells, integrating modern Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology to ensure citizens are not left high and dry during water disruptions.

The project, propelled by a dedicated Rs 50 crore fund approved during the tenure of former Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, envisions the refurbishment of 46 traditional wells across Thane and Mira-Bhayander.
