Demolition Drive Unleashes After Road Rage Turns Deadly in Dhandhuka
Following a road rage incident that escalated to murder and arson in Dhandhuka, authorities initiated a demolition drive targeting illegal constructions by individuals with criminal records. Two individuals were arrested, and numerous others detained, as the government proceeded with its crackdown amid heavy police presence.

In the aftermath of a violent road rage confrontation that resulted in murder and widespread arson, authorities in Dhandhuka have embarked on a comprehensive demolition operation. The crackdown, which began on Tuesday, focuses on illegal constructions linked to individuals with alleged criminal backgrounds.
Dharmesh Gamara, 30, lost his life after being stabbed when two motorcycles collided on Sunday. The incident escalated into a fiery reprisal, with agitated groups setting ablaze several roadside stalls. Police have apprehended two individuals, Samir and Rizwan, for their alleged roles in the murder, while detaining 15-20 others for arson.
The local administration, with the help of bulldozers and robust police security, started dismantling illegal encroachments, informed Sub Divisional Magistrate Vidyasagar. The process, which adhered to legal guidelines, involved a concerted effort to clear properties around the accused's residences. Deputy Superintendent of Police Astha Rana confirmed the deployment of approximately 400 police personnel to ensure order during the demolition drive.
