In a concerted effort to bolster security measures, several key installations, including the world-renowned Chenab bridge, underwent a meticulous inspection in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district. The review was led by Senior Superintendent of Police Mukund Tibrewal, focusing on the need for robust inter-agency coordination to safeguard the region.
During the inspection at the Chenab bridge, the police chief engaged with security forces, underscoring the necessity for stringent access control and the deployment of advanced surveillance technology. Ensuring the security of nearby villages and forest belts was also highlighted as a priority.
The review extended to Dugga railway station and Sawalakote hydro-electric project, where security personnel and Village Defence Groups were briefed on maintaining regular training and documentation of area domination exercises. Enhancing police record maintenance and expediting investigations were additional focal points in a bid to secure critical infrastructure.
