Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday positioned the West Bengal assembly polls as a pivotal opportunity for residents to free the state from infiltrators. At a rally in Kulti, he promised 100,000 merit-based jobs annually for youths if the BJP clinches victory.
Shah highlighted the significance of the region's once-thriving industrial might, vowing to restore its former glory, curb illegal mining, and expand job prospects for local youths. The Union Minister sharply criticized the ruling TMC government for allegedly misallocating jobs and undermining the area’s industrial potential.
The BJP leader assured voters of safety measures for women and the eradication of local mafia. By enacting a Uniform Civil Code, Shah seeks to curb specific social practices. He emphasized that if BJP comes to power, it will maintain and expand public welfare schemes while rooting out corruption.
