The Supreme Court has called on the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) to swiftly resolve the amalgamation of the remaining 14 housing projects under real estate firm Supertech, reassuring anxious homebuyers.
Many Supertech projects lingered in limbo due to ongoing insolvency issues, prompting judicial intervention. Previously, the court had approved the transfer of 16 projects to the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) for completion. The unresolved projects' status raises homebuyers' concerns over delayed housing delivery.
The judicial panel has mandated that all related stakeholders, including landowners and farmers, have their voices heard. This comes as Supertech's insolvency manager remains suspended amid alleged misconduct accusations. With thousands of units pending, the court insists that consistency is maintained in project execution under expert guidance. The NCLAT is likely to address this matter soon, ensuring comprehensive oversight for the completion of these much-anticipated projects.
