In a significant drug bust, police arrested Shamshad Ahmed, a suspected drug peddler from Ambala, Haryana, and confiscated 288 grams of adulterated heroin in Shimla.

The operation, led by Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh, unfolded near the Interstate Bus Terminus in Tutikandi, marking the largest heroin seizure in Shimla this year.

A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, has been registered, and the accused is currently in a six-day police custody as the investigation continues.
