Authorities in Hanumakonda district are investigating a chilling incident that took place Wednesday night where a man allegedly murdered his pregnant wife and two daughters by drowning them in a swimming pool he owned, situated within a real estate property.
The victims' family has accused the man of committing the heinous act, sparking a police investigation that has led to a murder charge being filed against him. Preliminary reports suggest that the accused took his wife and daughters, aged five and seven, to the pool, where he allegedly pushed them in, leading to their tragic demise. Attempts to tamper with CCTV footage have been noted as he purportedly sabotaged the cameras before falsely asserting the deaths as accidental.
The police, working to unravel the motive, are examining claims made by the deceased's family about marital discord. Allegedly, the spouse and in-laws were displeased with the birth of previous daughters and had expressed a preference for terminating her current pregnancy. Despite a love marriage spanning a decade, differences reportedly surfaced following the announcement of the latest pregnancy, although the accused's brother denies any family friction.
