Court Drama: Blake Lively's Harassment Claims Against Justin Baldoni Dismissed
A federal judge dismissed most of Blake Lively's sexual harassment claims against Justin Baldoni related to their movie 'It Ends With Us.' The judge ruled the case lacked jurisdiction since the conduct occurred outside California. Lively may still pursue other claims against Baldoni's production company, Wayfarer Studios.
A federal judge has largely dismissed Blake Lively's sexual harassment claims against fellow actor and director Justin Baldoni. The allegations relate to their joint effort in the 2024 romantic drama 'It Ends With Us.'
U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman, issuing the ruling from Manhattan, indicated that jurisdictional issues were central, as Lively's claims were pursued under California law, although the disputed conduct occurred elsewhere.
Despite the setback, Lively is permitted to continue with her retaliation claim against Wayfarer Studios, owned by Baldoni, along with contract and aiding and abetting claims against multiple parties. The case has stirred considerable attention in Hollywood, involving personalities like Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman.
