Heightened Security Marks Hanuman Jayanti Celebrations in Delhi

This comes after recent tensions and violence in these areas, prompting comprehensive safety measures like CCTV surveillance, enhanced patrolling, barricades, and community meetings to ensure peaceful celebrations.

The Delhi Police are ramping up security efforts as Hindu processions are planned in Uttam Nagar and Jahangirpuri for Hanuman Jayanti. Due to recent violence in Uttam Nagar, including a murder during Holi, extra precautions are in place.
Officials continue to respond with a robust presence, using surveillance and patrolling to manage the situation. A flag march and bike patrol were conducted to reassure the community.
In Jahangirpuri, following 2022's disturbances, meetings were held to maintain harmony, and strategic deployments are planned to secure the festival activities.
