Egypt's reserves of strategic goods will last for six months, with the government striving to extend this duration by an additional two months, announced Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly at a press briefing on Wednesday.
In a bid to bolster the nation's food security, Egypt also plans to increase the local wheat procurement price to 2,500 pounds, approximately $46.76 per ardeb, according to a statement from the finance minister. This move aims to support local farmers while ensuring a stable supply of wheat.
The current currency exchange rate stands at $1 equaling 53.4700 Egyptian pounds, highlighting economic strategies to manage resources efficiently amidst global financial uncertainties.
