An elderly couple was found murdered in their home in the Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh, authorities reported on Wednesday. The discovery in Khapri village revealed the bodies of Santaram Sahu, 65, and Shyama Bai Sahu, 60, submerged in a pool of blood inside their residence.
The incident came to light after the couple, who had retired for the night as usual, failed to emerge the following morning. Law enforcement quickly arrived at the scene, sending the bodies for autopsy and commencing a thorough investigation.
