In a dramatic display of public outrage, hundreds gathered near the Chief Minister's residence in Bhopal on Wednesday in response to the alleged murder of a youth, creating massive traffic disruption in the city's Polytechnic Square. The demonstrators demanded justice and swift action against the culprits.
As emotions ran high, some protestors attempted to advance towards the Chief Minister's residence, prompting police to intervene. While law enforcement officials denied using force, protestors accused them of deploying lathis to disperse the crowd.
Two individuals linked to the crime have been arrested, with authorities assuring that remaining suspects will soon be apprehended. Deputy Commissioner of Police Mayur Khandelwal asserted that the police were prepared and maintained peace without resorting to force. However, the protestors alleged aggression from the police despite their claims of peaceful demonstration.
